Once every week or so Cody diverges from the normal program and surprises all camp with a special event. These special events involve the entire camp and give campers a chance to try some different activities like pie throwing, bear hunt and more. These events include 'Alpha Minors', 'Cody Gulch', 'CIT Day' and much more.

The biggest of all these special events is undoubtedly Green and Grey. Occurring just once every summer it dominates camp for two day. Green and Grey divides camp into two halves and campers work alongside their cabin-mates to complete challenges like Apache Relay, Brain Bowl, Tug-O-War and so much more. Green and Grey culminates with a sing off on the second day and the presentation of plaques.
